A Free Company built for players with calendars
Occasional Gamers started as a few friends who wanted to build a group for casual gaming. Instead of fighting our schedules, we built a Free Company around them.
No attendance policy
Real life comes first. Miss a week, miss a month — your rank, your room, and your spot in the roster are still here when you get back.
Content at every speed

Ranks are labels, not a ladder
Ranks here are labels, not a ladder. Nobody outranks anybody in the ways that actually matter — same house, same chest, same seat on any night you feel like showing up.
- Shadow
- The leader, because someone has to be. It is an admin job rather than a throne.
- Original Gamer
- The group we started with. It is a bit of history and nothing else — no extra say, no extra perks.
- Gamer
- The standard rank, and where almost everyone sits. Equivalent to everyone else.
- Recruit
- Temporary, and purely about access. New members start with limited permissions so nobody can wander in and empty the chest. Promotion to Gamer follows shortly after.

The house is open to every member — chest, workshop, stable, the lot. What you see below is where it is headed: two floors of neon and dark timber, a bar and crest wall downstairs, somewhere to actually sit and talk upstairs.

The Goblet
The Goblet is Ul'dah's residential district — a canyon cut into Thanalan's golden sand, with windmills along the clifftops feeding greenery that has no business growing out there.
Our plot sits right beside the pools at the middle of the district, the pond and waterfall you can actually swim in. It is a pleasant place to stand around doing nothing, which is a fair share of what we use it for.

Unlock the district
Any character at level 5 or above can pick up "Where the Heart Is (The Goblet)". That is the whole requirement.
Get to the Goblet
Speak to Ivory Sparrow near the Miners' Guild in Ul'dah (X:11.9, Y:14.4), or walk in from the Western Thanalan entrance (X:27.8, Y:26.1). After your first visit the residential aethernet gets you back in one hop.
Find the plot
Ward 4, Plot 49 — the subdivision side, the medium house right up against the pools. Knock, or just let yourself in.

These are the plans, not the plot as it stands. The remodel is underway, so the house does not look like this just yet — come watch it go up.
Join Us
Open invite, no application
There is no recruitment bar here — no interview, no application, nothing to prove first. Ask for an invite and you get one, usually in the same conversation. We are on Famfrit (Primal), and free World Transfers open up often if you are somewhere else.

Message us on Discord, or say hello to anyone wearing the tag in game. That is the entire application process.
You're in
Someone sends the invite on the spot — no interview, nothing to clear first. You sit at Recruit for about a day, which only limits permissions so nobody can wander in and empty the chest, then move up to Gamer like everyone else.
Never played before? Even better.
Sprouts are the reason we operate this way. Ask the question you think is too basic, take as long as you like getting through the Main Scenario, and let someone help gear you up when you get there. Nobody is going to rush you or quiz you.
